About Challengers

CHALLENGERS

Challengers are those who are commission to challenge non-Christians to trust and follow Jesus.  They also challenge fellow Christians to be on mission with God.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:58  “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor is not in vain.”

WHERE MISSIONS AND MINISTRY MEET

Our mission is to join God in His Mission of reconciling the world to Himself.  Ministry is meeting human needs all around us in obedience to Christ’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves.

A disciple is a discipline learner.  He is a careful follower.  Becoming a fully functioning disciple of Christ is an ongoing process.  In Matthew 4:19 Jesus called his first disciples by inviting and challenging them with the words, ‘Come and follow me; and I will make you fishers of men.’

COME.  To be His disciples, we must first come to Christ in Faith.

GROW.  After we are born again, we must grow toward maturity.

SERVE.  As we become more like Christ, we learn to serve Him by serving others.

GO.  If we continue to follow Christ, He promises to make us “fishers of men.”
